Masters off to the National Championships

24/09/17: It is all happening with our masters. The men are in Hobart with the competition already started and the women start next week. The men are well represented with John Paterson, Terry Elmer, Richard Senior, Mal Lindsay and Ian Heselwood. The women are Myra Reilly, Lynn Bray, Di Fraser, Gloria Weller and Jenny Trotman. Vicki and Ian Warren are also in Hobart with the men as Manager and Assistant Coach. Maryborough has extremely talented Masters players and it is great to see so many represent our state. Good Luck to our U13s

23/09/17: What a great representation of Maryborough players at the National Championships. These kids will be competing at the Nationals in Perth from 28 September to 8 October. This group of talented youngsters have not stopped training and their determination and effort must be admired. U15s return from State Championships

22/09/17: The Fraser Coast rep teams have returned from the State Championships with the boys finishing in equal 3rd and the girls in 10th position. Both teams competed in Division 1 playing against the best teams in the state. The boys only lost 1 game and the girls were also unfortunate being defeated by only 1 goal in 3 games. From these championships a squad has been selected. Trudi - Australia Indoor player

16/09/17: Congratulations to Trudi who will be touring the USA at the end of this month with the Australian Development team. The tour will give the team some international experience when they take on the USA as they are preparing for the World Cup Qualifiers. Trudi has overcome some hurdles after having reconstruction surgery and rehabilitation from an ankle injury. Trudi has put in the hard yards and it is great to see that the determination and effort has paid off. Well done Trude!

Summer Hockey........Thursdays

09/09/17: Why not continue with hockey in the off season. This very social competition caters for players, juniors and seniors, with all skill levels and is a great way for new players to start playing hockey. Get a team together or nominate as an individual. Games are played Thursdays starting on 5 October. So make sure you nominate now or express you interest in playing in this competition. 03/09/17: The MDHA would like to thank our umpires who did an amazing job in the Grand Final games. There are few people who put their hands up for this job on the big day so it is greatly appreciated. It was also great to see some of our juniors take on this role. MDHA is also proud to have a number of accredited Tech Officials. Their knowledge was definitely handy especially for the Shoot Outs. Well done to you all!

Congratulations to all teams

03/09/17: Everyone should agree that the 2017 Grand Finals had it all. From goals being scored in the last few seconds of games to Shoot Outs. From teams being underdogs to winning the Grand Final. Not only should the teams that won the grand final be proud of themselves but all teams who competed during the year should be praised. Well done all the players who received awards. 2017 Division 1 Premiers

03/09/17: Congratulations Roos and Uniteds. The Div 1 Mens game was 4-4 when with less than 1 min to go Roos were awarded a corner which resulted in another corner and was converted for Roos to defeat Granville 5-4. This was a spectacular game to watch with everyone on the edge of their seats the entire game. In the Div 1 Womens game Uniteds scored with 6 mins to go resulting in a full time score of 1-1. Ninja Warrior Junior Breakup

27/08/17: What a great way to finish the hockey season for our U6s and U8s. The morning was filled with fun and activities and ended with the kids chasing after Menthos man. Thanks to Ninja Gloria and her Ninja warrior helpers for making this such a fun morning. It was great to see how much the hockey skills on these young ones have improved during the season and also wonderful for them to make lots of new friends.
